After 13 hours of a hideous plane ride, I'm finally in South Korea! I ended up throwing up all of the airplane food and ended up smelling like vomit for 2 hours until we got to my aunt's apartment. Great start to the trip. :|

In two days, I'm off for a month-long stay in South Korea!
Quick run-down of the past week:

• Bought decent clothes.
• Watched Tokyo Godfathers (my first Satoshi Kon film; fun and heart-warming...but I kinda expected more out of it? Eh.) and part of Haibane Renmei (I read somewhere that it's based off of Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, so of course I had to check it out!)
• Went to a farm and picked strawberries.
• Read The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and part of Making History by Stephen Fry (I really want to finish this, but it's a library book and I don't have enough time to read it all before we leave.)
• Had a few rows with mom.
• Had a going-away party for one of my friends.

Tomorrow, my family and I are going to go to a dance performance that one of my aunts is going to be in. 
Augh, I haven't even started packing. :|

For a while now, I've been practicing for piano CM testing; basically it's a test that grades you on your knowledge of techniques/scales and how well you play on a couple of songs. I did really terrible (I totally blanked out and couldn't play my arpeggios...FAIL FAIL FAIL. Plus, I started a piece over 5 times....) but I SOMEHOW got through it! I HAVE A SHINY CERTIFICATE AND NOW I NEVER HAVE TO TAKE A PIANO LESSON AGAIN! 8D

Someone at my brother's school caught the Swine Flu today. My school is going into a slight panic. I'm too tired to worry about it much... (I've had 5 hours of sleep each day at the most for the past month or so.) My concentration is going down the drainnn.

According to Fandom!Secrets, I am a bitch for liking relatively unknown anime/manga? What? I like Mushishi, Mononoke, Dennou Coil, etc. not because they're 'underground' series but because they're unique, intriguing stories. :| I don't like Naruto or Bleach because they bore me. Nothing to do with popularity.

I have to wonder why people are complaining that FMA:B is soooo inferior to the first anime. Well, of course it's boring now! This is a remake and it's going to go over the first few chapters that the first anime covered too. Of course these first few episodes aren't going to have the same impact as the first time around. I don't like the fast pacing but BONES is purposefully doing this so that the old fans won't get bored! Clearly it's not working for a lot of the fanbase but it's understandable why they're doing it this way.
I personally don't think FMA:B should be judged until they move past the 4th volume and into new material. :|

I cried at the last episode of Casshern Sins. Haters to the left, I thought the ending was amazing. Sure, there could have been a couple more episodes to flesh out the story. But that would have made the fights drag on and on! It's for the best that it was wrapped up quickly.

Bawww, I'm going to miss my emobots. So much. ;^;

I can't get over how gorgeous this series is. ♥

Finished up Xam'd: Lost Memories. One of the biggest disappointments I've had in a while. The first half of it was pretty phenomenal but the second was completely incomprehensible. Oh, BONES. :| WAY TO FAIL ME YET AGAIN.

I am excited for the new FMA anime! ♥ The animation for the trailers and official art work keep getting prettier.

March has just been a struggle for me to get through. April will definitely be better.

I FINALLY managed to get a hold of Black Jack vol.1; Sunshine by Robin McKinley; Persepolis, Persepolis 2, Chicken with Plums by Marjane Satrapi (holy god, I love this lady); Cowboy Bebop DVD vol. 1 (I know, how have you not seen this yet, have you been living under a rock, etc., etc...)

AND AFTER A YEAR OF STALKING FOR CORALINE MOVIE NEWS, I SAW IT!
It was completely brilliant. The stop-motion animation was flawless, the otherwordly, creepy feel of the book translated perfectly to the movie, and Coraline is my official hero. ♥♥♥

Xam'd: Lost Memories is...not going so well. It's okay but the first half seemed like it was going to build up into something amazing...and it's failing to meet the expectations. BONES, why do you feel like you need to make the awesome females weak and whiny? Haru and Ishu were totally great until you made them all "bawww ;_; *clings to their man*"
...granted, their whining took about 30 seconds but it bothered me! They're perfectedly good characters but it was like BONES went, "oops lol MUST INSERT ANGST hey let's make the women insecure about their love life suddenly." ...I dunno if I'm looking too much into it adlfkjsd;f

I've been feeling wierdly optimistic lately! Nothing special has happened...hm, don't know.

Oh, and I dreamed that a guy and his grandfather was out swimming in the ocean. He cut his foot on coral and blood was spreading quickly throughout the area. The grandfather went, "Hide behind that coral; the sharks won't notice you!" (Go with me here, it's dream logic.) He did, and then suddenly blacked out. A shark eventually came and swallowed him. Not only did my dream emphasize on all the gory details, that scene repeated itself like 5 times.
Self, you know you're scared to death of sharks and of being caught in the open sea. why would you do this
But this wasn't nearly as scary as the one with the hamburgers. :|
